The Beginning of The Program the principal of St Andrew’s Secondary School

It was indeed a successful international education for both sides

In November, 2015, at the invitation of Taiwan Association of Reading and Social Cares, we hosted a reception for a team which consists of 30 teachers and students from St Andrew’s Secondary School, Singapore and had a delightful interaction in reading as well. I promised to give it a try when a plan of exchange students was proposed by the vice principal of St Andrew’s Secondary School. It was difficult to discuss all the details about this plan in the far distance. Also, there were many questions asked by parents who took interests in this plan. Thus, in the winter vacation of 2016, I led eight teachers and a parent to St Andrew’s Secondary School. On this visit, we exchanged further views on this plan details and took pictures of the campus environment. During this trip, we visited the principal of St Andrew’s Secondary School and discussed about the plan for exchange students: Students in Liming Junior High School go to St Andrew’s Secondary School in August and their students come in early November.
Starting on July 31, 2016, ten male students and a teacher, Sophia Yung, had their first Singapore trip. They had two-week interactive classes with Singapore students in St Andrew’s Secondary School. When they returned, they shared their experiences in the morning ceremony with all the other students. In the same year, ten students from St Andrew’s Secondary School came to Liming Junior High School for their Taiwanese experience education. The series of courses broadened our students’ minds. They also had deeper understanding for Singapore. It was indeed a successful international education for both sides.
