In winter 2016, our school principal Mei-Feng,Chang , nine teachers and one parent paid a visit to St.Andrew’s Secondary School, Singapore. During the stay, we proposed to have a video conference for promoting international educational exchanges and cooperation.

After coming back to Taiwan, our English teacher I-Da, Tsai set out to make a thorough plan for conducting such international education. Teachers from both sides then planned and discussed lesson plans together through e-mail so as to develop a set of international exchange courses. Besides, our school founded social network like Facebook for mutual exchange of knowledge, experience, and opinion. On July 8th, 2016, our school initially conducted a video conference to serve as a starting point of additional courses for gifted students henceforth. At the moment the Skype got through, all the teachers and students cheered. the pressure from the efforts made for the video conference gone away. Students shared and talked about delicious food in their own countries in English. They all experience the culture differences and learned from each other.
In the end of the semester and during the summer vacation in 2017, we had another two video conference. For more information,please check our facebook group.

With all the work, students who were nervous before are now can talk in Eglish dluently. And they are willing and looking forward to the next video conference. Students not only have fun during their learning but also have more confidence in speaking English. What’s more, they broaden their globle view at the same time.
